My name is Benno Rawlinson, I am a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and I am currently living in the US but originate from Perth , Scotland. My love for the outdoors began with my parents taking me camping, sailing and skiing which was then further reinforced through participating in Duke of Edinburgh at school.

Spending time in nature exploring the world has increasingly become a real passion of mine and one I wish to share with everyone.

This blog initially started as a diary about my journey to complete "The Worlds Toughest Footrace", however I have since got the taste for adventure and it has covered other events, expeditions and a few random topics thrown in along the way. From running across deserts, cycling the UK 3 peaks, running a number of ultra marathons including 100 miles non-stop, rowing across the Atlantic Ocean to my most recent expedition ski trekking up the coastline of Baffin Island.

Whilst not doing these longer expeditions I take every opportunity I can to explore the surrounding natural playground.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to share these journeys with groups, schools and organisations through public speaking and a much wider audience through my blog on these adventures and experiences.

Thanks for reading and I hope you find it interesting.

Benno
